I’ve dealt with rosacea nearly my entire life, and finding skincare that doesn’t exacerbate my flare-ups has been a pain, to say the least.
For a time, I avoided skincare entirely, thinking I was better off with nothing at all. It wasn’t until I tried natural Korean skincare products that I realized I was going about my search incorrectly.
Here’s a list of some of the best Korean skincare for rosacea that worked for me and many others, containing research-backed ingredients that soothe, strengthen, and heal the skin.

1. COSRX 15% Niacinamide Face Serum

The COSRX 15% Niacinamide Face Serum relieves redness, soothes skin, and reduces the appearance of pores.
Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B-3 found naturally in foods like green veggies, milk, meat, and cereals.
It’s one of the most effective ingredients for addressing rosacea due to its anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce redness and calm irritated skin.
It also strengthens the skin barrier through keratin, a protein that keeps your skin firm and healthy.
Alongside Niacinamide, the COSRX Face Serum also contains Zinc PCA as its main active ingredient.
Like Niacinamide, Zinc PCA has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness and facial swelling.
It’s also an excellent moisturizer, gently hydrating the skin and balancing its oil levels.
I’ve been using this face serum for a few weeks now and I must say, I’m impressed with the results.
It noticeably reduced the redness on my face and minimized discoloration, which is a nice plus. It’s scent-free, lightweight, and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily residue.
If it’s your first time using a Niacinamide serum, I recommend starting with two to three drops every other day.
Once your skin gets used to it, you can gradually increase application to once or twice daily.
2. Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Sensitive Skin Face Moisturizer for Redness and Barrier Repair

The Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Face Moisturizer is one of my go-to moisturizers for rosacea due to its fast-acting effect.
The moisturizer’s active ingredient is Centella Asiatica (AKA Indian Pennywort), an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and hydrating herb native to tropical areas of Southeast Asia and Australia.
It moisturizes skin and encourages collagen production, reducing the visible redness and sensitivity associated with rosacea.
A little goes a long way with the Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Moisturizer. Just apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin, and gently pat it in.
It isn’t greasy or tacky, plus it absorbs quickly into the skin. It doesn’t have a strong scent either, which is a bonus for me!
3. Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum

The Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum contains green tea and mugwort, wonder herbs that carry anti-inflammatory properties.
Research in rosacea management shows that green tea can significantly improve redness and irritation.
Its active compounds, like catechins, have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that help soothe sensitive, rosacea-prone skin.
Green tea also strengthens the skin barrier, providing relief from the burning and stinging often associated with the condition.
The same is said with mugwort. It’s rich in antioxidants, so it soothes inflamed, irritated, and angry skin.
The Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum uses 50% green tea, 30% mugwort, and other soothing – and natural – ingredients like Panthenol, leaving the skin hydrated, plump, and radiant.
It feels light on the skin and makes your face glow. It isn’t greasy or tacky and doesn’t leave any residue behind.
Best of all, it acts fast. If you’re experiencing itchiness or redness, a single drop of this serum will chase it away.
4. SeoulCeuticals Korean Skin Care Snail Mucin Moisturizer Cream

Let’s clear the air about snail mucin: yes, it’s derived from snails and yes, it’s that sticky mucus they produce when moving around.
I don’t know how experts collect it (and I’m too scared to find out!), but what I do know is that this slimy substance is packed with powerful skin benefits.
Snail mucin contains hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, and natural proteins that heal, hydrate, and soothe the skin.
While it’s commonly used for its anti-aging properties, it’s especially effective for rosacea.
This is because it reduces inflammation, soothes and hydrates skin, and strengthens the skin’s barrier function, protecting it from environmental irritations and aggressors.
It also has antibacterial properties that protect the skin from infection, a common concern for people with rosacea.
What makes the SeoulCeuticals Moisturizer stand out from other mucin-derived skincare products is that it uses a high concentration of snail mucin – 97.5%.
It also contains shea butter, jojoba oil, organic aloe, and Vitamin E, which are all beneficial for the skin.
The SeoulCeuticals Moisturizer is lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving no oily residue. It has a pleasant citrus-like smell, too – very refreshing!
5. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Facial Cleanser with Ceramide

Of all the cleansers I’ve used, The Face Shop Rice Water Facial Cleanser worked best for my rosacea.
It’s incredibly gentle, removing dirt and impurities without stripping or irritating my sensitive, redness-prone skin. This is primarily due to the product’s main ingredient, rice water.
Rice water has a soothing, moisturizing effect that almost instantly calms irritated skin and leaves it feeling smooth, soft, and refreshed.
It has a mild, pleasant fragrance, sort of like a floral scent.
The cleanser itself is thick but not too thick, and it lathers into a soft foam.
It’s a great anti-inflammatory cleanser that offers great value for your buck – definitely worth a purchase if you haven’t already!
6. ETUDE Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF50+

Sun exposure is one of the most common triggers for rosacea, so wearing proper sunscreen with the right SPF and ingredients is imperative to prevent flare-ups.
I’ve tried dozens of sunscreens, from high-end brands to drug-store options, but I always fall back to the Etude Sunprise Sunscreen.
It has the highest SPF on the market, and it’s sebum-free, lightweight, and uses all-natural ingredients like sunflower seed oil, aloe vera extract, acai palm extract, and Barbados cherry extract among others.
Each of these ingredients is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which help calm irritated skin and protect it from further damage.
It also contains Zinc Oxide, which offers broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
Zinc Oxide is gentle on sensitive skin and helps prevent sunburn and damage, making it ideal for rosacea sufferers.
It’s also anti-inflammatory, reducing the risk of flare-ups caused by sun exposure.
