It’s hard to commit to one brand when shopping for makeup and skincare products. Some brands excel with different products, but you might still want to create a full look using one brand.
Clinique and Estee Lauder are two famous brands with many fans across the globe. In this Clinique vs Estee Lauder comparison, I will discuss their best sellers and how they compare.

Clinique vs Estee Lauder
Clinique is actually one of Estee Lauder’s most successful subsidiaries. Both are considered high-end brands, although Estee Lauder is considered more luxurious.
They both offer skincare products, which are as good as their makeup products, nourishing the skin from the inside.
If you have sensitive skin, someone might have recommended Clinique products to you. The products are fragrance-free and contain no parabens and phthalates.
Estee Lauder targets older people, as it formulates products that deliver skincare benefits, slowing aging and giving you a youthful look.
Best Products of Clinique and Estee Lauder
Determining how good a product is takes time and a lot of trials. I’ve tried these products for months, and even years, so I can provide honest feedback about their performance and whether they provide good value for money.
Skincare
Shopping for skincare products on the Clinique website is a fun experience, as you can shop for products by skin concern and ingredient.
The Moisture Surge™ 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator is a best-seller as it provides instant hydration and works for sensitive skin. It’s also oil-free.

I also love the Take The Day Off™ Cleansing Balm which gently dissolves your makeup without tugging or rubbing.
I recommend using Estee Lauder’s Perfectionist Pro Rapid Firm + Lift Serum with Hexapeptides 8 + 9 under the Clinique moisturizer if you have visible wrinkles that you’d like to target.
This combo will help to reduce the appearance of lines and give you a plumped look. The serum works slowly but surely to lift and firm, making it a good choice if you have necklines or sagging jowls.
At night, I prefer Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum. This cult favorite is guaranteed to target the visible signs of aging.
So you can wake up to glowy and healthy skin, thanks to its exclusive peptides. It also helps with firmness and evens skin tone, without parabens, sulfates, or fragrances.

Finally, I found that the Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix really helps to improve the appearance of crow’s feet.
Of course, it doesn’t work overnight, but the effect is visible after a few months.
Makeup
In my opinion, both brands excel in the skincare arena, but each one has several makeup products that shouldn’t be missed.
Foundation
Starting with Clinique, their Moisture Surge™ Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 is a must-try.
This is a BB cream, tinted moisturizer, and lightweight foundation all in one, and comes in seven shades.

Since it provides sheer coverage, you can try their Even Better Clinical™ Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 25 for more coverage that lasts all day.
If you have active acne, you want a product that won’t clog your pores. The Acne Solutions™ Liquid Makeup is specifically formulated to give you good coverage, while the salicylic acid prevents more acne.
Nevertheless, honestly, none of these foundations compare to Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation.
It’s designed to last 24 hours with no touch-ups, so it’s an excellent choice for special occasions. It will also work for you if you tend to sweat a lot, and it comes in 57 shades.

Yet, if you want to conceal moles, scars, spider veins, or tattoos, you can definitely go for the Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Foundation for Face and Body SPF 15.
This is what runway models and actors use on the set or in theaters as it creates a flawless look. But it’s not something I’d wear daily.
Concealer
If you have stubborn eye circles or bags, Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer will work for you.
It provides good coverage, doesn’t crease, and won’t slide or change color throughout the day.
But this might feel too heavy if you don’t really want to conceal your undereye area that much.

In this case, I’d recommend using the Beyond Perfecting™ Foundation + Concealer from Clinique. You can also get a darker shade for contour.
Powder
If you’re on the go, the Beyond Perfecting™ Powder Foundation + Concealer from Clinique will work for you.
It’s a 3-in-1 product that unifies the skin tone, blurs imperfections and is suitable for everyday wear.
Clinique’s Blended Face Powder is another favorite as it sets your makeup without caking. It also reflects the light for a radiant look.

On days when I don’t feel like wearing foundation, Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Matte Powder Foundation becomes my go-to choice.
However, you can wear it over the foundation for a perfect and flawless look.
Eyes
Estee Lauder offers multiple eye makeup products, but I love the Smoke and Brighten Kajal Eyeliner Duo, as you get two shades in one product.
The Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner is another versatile product that I like to use on special events.
It’s waterproof, smudge-proof, and lasts for 24 hours. Moreover, it comes in six shades.

Clinique’s Quickliner™ For Eyes Eyeliner works for a smudging effect, and it’s available in 10 shades to suit every outfit.
I usually pair it with my All About Shadow™ Octet, where you get eight shades to create a signature look.
For mascara, Estee Lauder offers more options than Clinique. But my favorite is the Little Black Primer™.
You can use it as a tint or a base with a more glamorous choice like the Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara.
Blush, Bronzer, and Highlighter
Clinique is all about giving your skin a natural glow and the Chubby Stick™ Cheek Colour Balm makes you look like you’ve been to the beach, so it works for everyday use.
You can also use it as an eyeshadow or a lip tint. For a buildable and more intense color, you can try the Cheek Pop™ Powder Blush.

Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Sculpting Blush is a similar product that adds a silky glow.
But if you are a real fan of glow, add a pop of light with the Bronze Goddess Highlighting Powder Gelée.
Clinique’s True Bronze™ Pressed Powder Bronzer offers a subtle finish compared to Estee Lauder’s product.
Lips
It’s no surprise that the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey and Pink Honey will be on top of my choices.
Black Honey is a chameleon product that changes shade to suit your skin and natural lips, looking different for everyone. Pink Honey adds a touch of pink if you want an additional pop of color.

My second favorite Clinique lip product is the Chubby Stick™ Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm, which adds a hydrating satin finish.
Estee Lauder offers more lip products, whether you prefer an intense look with the Pure Color Explicit Slick Shine Lipstick or a shimmery finish with the Pure Color Hi-Lustre Lipstick.
Wrap Up
Clinique and Estee Lauder are produced by the same company for two different clientele.
They offer exceptional skincare products that nourish your skin, allowing your makeup to glide smoothly over a fresh and healthy complexion.
Both brands deliver excellent quality and value, depending on the type of makeup you prefer. If you’re more into a natural and effortless everyday look, Clinique products will be a better choice.
While Estee Lauder’s products are perfect for special events and occasions, where you want to look like a celebrity.
