Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, if you haven’t tried it already. Clinique later launched the other shade, Pink Honey and it also became a hit.
So, which one is better?
In this Clinique Pink Honey vs Black Honey standoff, I compare the two shades, highlighting their main features.

Clinique Pink Honey vs Black Honey
Clinique’s Almost Lipstick isn’t really a lipstick. It’s something between lipstick and lipgloss, offering lipstick coverage with the sheer and satin finish of a gloss.
It’s more buildable than a gloss, so it will last all day while providing hydration and moisture.
But the most special thing about these two products is that they look different on everyone.
Black Honey
I’ll start with Black Honey, Clinique’s iconic lipstick. It uses a transparent pigment to suit every lip color, enhancing your natural shade without masking it.
If you look at Black Honey, you’d think it’s a dark raisin-like color. But it’s made of yellow, red, and blue pigments that blend to create a natural look.

Black Honey has a warm undertone, giving you a plump and warm look while smoothing out all your lip lines.
It’s made of 95% conditioning ingredients for long wear, so your lips won’t feel dry at the end of the day.
Many people wear Black Honey alone, but I sometimes wear it on top of my other nude and warm-colored matte lipsticks for a sheer finish.
Because it blends seamlessly with your natural skin tone, you don’t need a mirror to apply it. However, I sometimes pair it with a lipliner pencil for a more defined look.
Pink Honey
Pink Honey is a newer shade from the Almost Lipstick line. As the name suggests, it has a pinkish undertone, adding a pink pop of color to your lips.
Just like Black Honey, Pink Honey is a natural shade of cool pink that changes color depending on your natural lip shade.

So, if you have light-colored lips, it will be baby pink. If your lips are darker, the color will look more intense.
Because of its pink undertone, I tried wearing Pink Honey as a natural blush. I even added a little to my eyelids for an effortless eyeshadow look and both experiments turned out fine.
It has more color than Black Honey and will add a pink tone to your lips without being too overpowering.
Wrap Up
Clinique’s Black Honey is one of the brand’s best-sellers for a reason. This product combines yellow, red, and blue pigments in a single product that glides smoothly over your lip, offering a new color for everyone.
The final color you get with Black Honey depends on your natural lip shade, and you can wear it alone or with other lip products. It provides sheer coverage with sufficient hydration to keep your lips plump all day.
Pink Honey is another shade with a pop of pink. It’s more intense than Black Honey, although the final look will also depend on your natural lip shade.
